2016 was an amzing year in my business… so much to celebrate. The team of women (and a few men) I work with made huge promotions… had their biggest paychecks ever (as did I) and the best part is that we got to do it together. In our field everyone wins. Everyone is valued. Everyone’s contribution is cherished no matter how big or how little. And there’s always room to add more members to our team. It’s one of the beautiful parts of Network Marketing.
So with 2016 being such as amazing year, It would be so easy to just sit back and relax right now… but why do that when there’s so much to do… so many more people to be inspired? My secret to living a life with focus is Power Sheets. These are worksheets designed to walk you through the goal setting process so that you can work towards what you really want while being very in tune to the relationships that matter most to you. So I did my prep work with the 2017 Power Sheets and am beyond excited about the possibilities this year. And thank you Lara Casey for all your wisdom and guidance. It woud be so easy to try to write perfect goals right now … or big goals that would take my focus from the important people in my life… or goals I think my team or the world would want to see from me. But byy working through the Power Sheets my goals are designed specifically for me with great intention and clarity. I am so ready for 2017.

Stir in almond meal, Complete, and baking powder. Lightly oil 2 coffee mugs. Divide batter in half into each mug and sprinkle with additional chocolate chips if desired. Microwave for 45 to 60 seconds at 50% power. Done!
Stevia is a great non-calorie sweetener if it’s not overly processed ….. I get this brand at my local health food store. Liquid drops are also a good choice.
After a killer workout this hit the spot… Sooo good.
1 C Soy Milk, organic, unsweetened (or other non-dairy milk)
1 Scoop Juice Plus Complete shake mix in French Vanilla
2 handfuls spinach or other greens
2 tsp Maca Powder
1 Banana, frozen
Blend on high till smooth… Then with blender running drop in frozen cubes of WATERMELON…probably around 2 cups worth… The result is like a Frosty consistency … I’m not even kidding. It’s so good.
Sometimes I use turmeric instead of Maca…. Give it a go.
1 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp red pepper flakes
1 Tb smoked paprika
2 tsp Garam Masala
1 tsp salt
2 Tb grape seed oil
1 Tb tomato paste concentrate
1 clove garlic, minced
1 Tb coconut oil
Add paste you made above and sauté a couple more minutes
Add 1 box Pom tomatoes (26 oz)
1 can coconut milk
1 cup green lentils
1 to 1 1/2 cups water… Add as you go.
Cook for 35-45 min stirring frequently till lentils are tender. Add a couple handfuls of greens and stir in… Like collards or kale. Serve over rice and garnish with cilantro.
I was seriously in the mood for something other than my standard green smoothie this morning. So I came up with these nutty blueberry muffins made with spelt flour. If you haven’t used spelt yet… it’s super easy… it’s a one for one exchange with white flour…. but with loads of health benefits.
- 2 Cups Organic Spelt Flour
- 1 Cup Almond Meal Flour
- 2 tsp Baking Soda
- 1/2 tsp Salt
Add in and mix….
- 1 Cup Rice Milk (Almond or Soy would work as well)
- 1/2 Cup Maple Syrup
- 2 Tb Rice Vinegar; not seasoned or sweetened
- 1 Cup Thick Cut Rolled Oats
- 1 Cup Wild Blueberries – frozen (don’t over mix these in or your batter will turn blue)
Fill 12-15 muffin papers in a muffin tin 3/4 the way full. Bake 20 -25 min at 350 degrees.
It makes me so sad to see so many of my friends and their little ones suffering with viruses and flus this time of year. It’s the nature of the Holidays…lots of sugar… wacky schedules….traveling….eating out… parties with lots of people….
I absolutely hate being sick.. I remember my last flu bug 2 years ago…my sweet friend, Cathy, sent me home to bed and over then next 4-5 days people stopped by with soup and dinner to feed my kids because my husband was in Afghanistan. Such a sense of gratitude overwhelms me when I think about that now.
It was at that time I had discovered Juice Plus and started learning about the important research being done on our immune systems…. and because of Juice Plus I’ve not been sick in a long time…and more importantly I get to share what I’m doing to stay virus/flu free with my friends.
It’s been my experience that once someone starts taking Juice Plus it takes 3 to 4 months of consistency to really boost the immune system…. and what I tell my friends is that if they are around others that are sick or start to feel a little sniffly that they should double up. I like to sneak the kids chewables and suck on them like lozenges during those times. Some people still get colds on Juice Plus but they are much shorter lived and few and far between… I’ll take that when one does hit… but in the meantime I’m liking taking care of my friends instead of being the one that needs taking care of.
I’m more then happy to send you some samples of the chewables… just message me your address. And for more information check out Danette.JuicePlus.com
I had a ton of sweet potato casserole left over from our Christmas dinner…. Nobody ate the leftovers! What does this family have against the sweet potato? So I tricked them into eating the casserole by making it into one of their favorites… Sweet potato soup.
2 cups sweet potato casserole (topping removed) or two cups mashed sweet potato.
2 cups rice or almond milk
2 cubes No-chicken bouillon (or you can use regular chicken bouillon)
A few grinds of black pepper
1/2 tsp cumin
Stir and warm all ingredients (except peanuts) on the stove in a 4 qt pot. If you want it silky smooth blend it for a minute in a blender on high. Top each serving with peanuts.
