Banana Maple Oatmeal

I love oatmeal… So it rocks when I have a little extra time in the morning so I can make me a big ole bowl. The mashed banana sweetens it enough so you don’t have to add the maple syrup if you don’t want to.

1/2 C. Rolled Oats (not instant)
1 C. Unsweetened vanilla almond milk
Small pinch salt
1/2 ripe banana
5 Walnut halves
1 Tb maple syrup

Cook the oats, almond milk, and salt over medium heat in a small saucepan stirring occasionally. When the oatmeal is almost done and thickening up mash in the banana and cook for a couple more minutes. Serve with walnuts and maple syrup.
